Venezuela, led by President Nicolás Maduro, calls for urgent global action against the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, demanding an immediate end to occupation and apartheid, and proposes a global peace summit to restore justice.

In an impassioned message dated July 14, 2025, President Nicolás Maduro of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela addressed governments, human rights movements, and global solidarity networks, demanding an urgent and coordinated international response to the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

The call follows a joint initiative by Colombia and South Africa under the Group of The Hague to convene a special ministerial emergency meeting addressing these atrocities.

President Maduro reminded the international community that the Palestinian tragedy is not new. While the most visible brutality has escalated since October 2023,with some 60,000 Palestinian martyrs, over 138,000 wounded, and thousands missing beneath rubble,the roots trace back to 1948.

This was the year the Zionist settler-colonial project forcibly expelled Palestinians from their lands, establishing an apartheid regime that has perpetuated dispossession, repression, and terrorism as state policy for decades.
